SaidMe launches on the App Store: a secure “just in case” message that only gets delivered if you don’t check in

DarkhorseOne today announced the official release of SaidMe, a privacy-first mobile app now available on the Apple App Store, created to help people leave a message for the moments when they might not be able to speak for themselves. SaidMe is built around a single, powerful idea: write one important message, choose trusted recipients, and have it delivered only if you stop checking in. It is a simple, modern tool for peace of mind — designed for real life, not perfect life.

SaidMe launches on the App Store: a secure “just in case” message that only gets delivered if you don’t check in

There are messages we all mean to send one day.

Some are practical: where important documents are kept, how to access essential accounts, what needs to be done if something goes wrong. Some are personal: a final explanation, an apology, gratitude, a goodbye — or simply words that deserve to reach the people we care about most.

But life rarely gives us a neat moment to prepare. And when things happen suddenly, the hardest part is often not the event itself — it’s what’s left unsaid.

SaidMe exists for that gap.
Not to dramatise the worst-case scenario, but to quietly remove uncertainty from it.

A calm solution to an uncomfortable truth

SaidMe is designed for people who want to handle sensitive “just in case” matters in a way that feels secure, private, and emotionally human — without turning it into a complicated process.

It doesn’t ask users to build an entire digital legacy, fill out endless forms, or manage dozens of settings.

Instead, it focuses on one outcome:

If you’re here, your message stays private.
If you’re not, your message gets delivered.

That’s it.

How it works (in minutes)

SaidMe keeps the experience intentionally simple, so it can be set up quickly and maintained effortlessly:

1) Write your message
Users write one message — long or short, practical or personal — and save it securely within the app.

2) Choose trusted recipients
Users add the recipient(s) they trust most. These are the people who should receive the message if the user stops checking in.

3) Arm the timer
Once enabled, SaidMe starts a countdown based on the user’s chosen interval. This interval represents the check-in expectation — a personal “heartbeat” that confirms the user is still active.

4) Check in occasionally
Checking in is a deliberate action: a simple confirmation that resets the timer. As long as users check in on time, nothing is triggered and nothing is sent.

If the check-in is missed and the timer expires, SaidMe initiates delivery — ensuring the message reaches the intended recipients when it matters most.

Built for privacy — not surveillance

SaidMe is not a tracking app. It doesn’t exist to watch users, measure them, or collect behavioural signals.

It is built around a straightforward principle:

Your message belongs to you — until you decide otherwise.

SaidMe’s role is not to become another noisy digital product competing for attention. It is designed to sit quietly in the background and be there when it’s needed.

A private message vault you can rely on

Beyond its core delivery mechanism, SaidMe can also be used as a secure personal vault for thoughts, instructions, or private notes that you may not want to store in ordinary messaging apps.

For many users, SaidMe becomes the place for “the message I don’t want to lose” — protected from casual access, and separate from everyday conversations.

This makes it useful not only for worst-case planning, but also for day-to-day peace of mind.

Why DarkhorseOne built SaidMe

SaidMe was created by DarkhorseOne, a UK-based technology company focused on building privacy-led products that solve real problems with as little friction as possible.

The motivation behind SaidMe was simple: most people understand that unexpected events happen, but very few tools respect how personal and sensitive that preparation can feel.

SaidMe is deliberately designed to feel calm, dignified, and human — without being heavy or overly technical.

It’s not about fear.
It’s about responsibility, care, and clarity.

Availability

SaidMe is now available on the App Store

Users can start on a free plan, and optionally upgrade to access additional features such as more recipient options and greater flexibility over check-in intervals, depending on their needs.
